Candidate Statements
Dear DADA Folk,
Next week you will receive the voting papers, in your mailbox, for the 2016 Council Election.
It is important if you want to ensure the protection of the quality of life in Darebin in the future, to use your vote wisely, especially if you are concerned about the rate of inappropriate development in your neighbourhood.
You can read candidates statements here: www.vec.vic.gov.au/DarebinElection/Candidates/
Hit the expand key and you will get candidate photos and statements about why they are standing.
Look particularly for candidates who mention their concern about inappropriate or over development and consider giving them your support unless they are current councilors who have a proven track record of voting for poor quality planning applications.
DADA has been tracking current councilor’s voting rates for and against inappropriate developments at Darebin Planning Committee and we used the data to score councilors support of developers and community.
Attached are the results in flyers to help you make up your mind. They will be put in letter boxes in time for the vote next week.
In the next few days I will send you a how to vote form to show you who we think are the best and the worst candidates for planning in Darebin in the future.
Cheers, Maria
DADA
